Marlon Lynn Brown, Sr., “Imaxbaya En Hokshina Mani” (Walking in the clouds boy), age 39, of Wolf Point, MT passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Trinity Hospital in Wolf Point.
Marlon was born June 30, 1974 in Glasgow, MT to Florence Fourstar and Delbert Brown, Sr. He was a certified fitness trainer with the Native American Fitness Alliance (NAFA). He received his 1 year certificate as a desktop support technician and also his AAS in Computer Technology from the Fort Peck Community College. Over the years, Marlon was employed at the Inter Mountain Trust in Helena, Best Bet Casino in Helena, The Sherman Inn in Wolf Point, the F.P.C.C. Wellness Center in Wolf Point and at Wills Office World in Wolf Point.
Marlon enjoyed physical fitness. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and family, his late night movies, and watching sports.
He is survived by his mother, Florence (Rodney Miller) Fourstar of Wolf Point; wife, Julia Whitehorse of Wolf Point; sons, Dominique (Mylissa) Brown, Darnell Brown, Chryss Jackson, and Marlon Brown, Jr. of Wolf Point; daughters, Kyra (Ira) Brown, Azarea Brown, and Vivian Brown of Wolf Point; sisters, Lana (Moby) Jackson of Frazer, MT, Carmelia Brown of Dunmore, MT, and Chante Japp of Frazer; aunt, Phyllis (Raymond) Johnson of Spokane, WA; uncles, Rick Fourstar, and Terrance Fourstar of Frazer, MT, and Vernon (Debbie) Fourstar of Spokane; adopted son, Joe Bauer of Oswego, MT; grandmother, Freda Fourstar of Frazer, MT; nephew, Brent; nieces, Tonisha, Breah, and Brielle; and special friends, Christopher Follet, John Yellow Robe, and Adrian Imus. Marlon was excited and patiently awaiting his 1 st grandchild, due in August (Kyra). He is also survived by his paternal side, Brown, Cooked Arm, Backbone, Stops, Covers Up; and maternal side, Redstone and Fourstar.
Marlon is preceded in death by his father, Delbert Brown, Sr.; brothers, Geoffrey and Delbert Brown, Jr.; daughter, Angel Rose Brown; paternal grandparents, James and Virginia Little Light; maternal grandfather, Leslie A. Fourstar; and numerous aunts and uncles.
A prayer service will be held 7 p.m. Friday, May 9 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10 at the Community Hall in Frazer. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Frazer. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
