Abe Alton Abraham

May 1, 1956 — November 16, 2021

Abe Alton Abraham passed away November 16, 2021.  Abe was born May 1, 1956 in Wolf Point, Montana to Phyllis Marie Hoffman Abraham and Raymond Frederick Abraham. His younger years were spent in Richey, Montana with his three brothers and six sisters.  Abe was the sixth out of twelve children.  In the early 1960’s the family moved from Richey to the family farm located northeast of Vida, Montana.  He attended first grade in Richey and then attended Southview School, a two room school house near the farm and then completed his high school education at Wolf Point High School, graduating in 1975.

After high school he started working at Jessie’s Supper Club at the crossroads on Hwy 2.  Eventually, he began working as a mechanic for Wolf Point Implement in Wolf Point until it closed down.  He also worked for Cenex/AgLand and the City of Wolf Point; then later Albertsons.  He briefly moved out to Vida where he worked at the local fertilizer plant.  Once the plant sold, he moved back to Wolf Point and began working at Pro-Tire. He was currently working back at Albertson’s in the meat department alongside, Kerry, a longtime friend.

One of the proudest moments in Abe’s life was the birth of his daughter, Kerri in 2004.  His life quickly turned into that of a single dad.  Wherever Abe was going he was sure to have his baby girl in tow.  He worked hard to give his daughter anything she needed and took great joy in watching her grow into a young woman.  Together, they enjoyed fishing, visiting museums, working on their rental properties, and attending gun and car shows.  Kerri was his pride and joy.

Abe enjoyed his antique/vintage automobiles (aka rust buckets).  Whenever he came across a new find he liked to share photos and discuss his plans of restoration with anyone who would listen.  He also enjoyed attending car shows with his friends and his daughter.  He enjoyed attending local gun shows and sharing his love of firearms with those that were as enthusiastic as he was.  In his younger days he was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He enjoyed family gatherings and loved to just sit and visit with those around him.

Earlier this year he had been to the veterans’ memorial wall in Fort Peck, Montana observing all the different veterans’ names and noticing that our father did not have a tile.  He took matters into his hands and contacted the rest of the family to participate in purchasing a tile for our dad.  Family was important to him including those that had passed before him.

Abe was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Abraham and his mother, Phyllis Hoffman Abraham, brothers Kenneth and Leslie Abraham and sisters Anna Nichols and Nancy Harmon, nephews Jason and Anthony Anderson.

Abe is survived by his daughter Kerri, brother Henry Abraham, Vida MT, sisters Rosa Anderson, Sidney MT; Mary Abraham, Vida MT; Sally (Roger) Hollowell, Lewistown MT; Brenda Abraham, Wolf Point MT; Betty (Tom) Romo, Wolf Point MT and Vicky (Shawn) Boysun, Wolf Point MT.  He is also survived by his brothers-in-law Richard Harmon and Thomas Nichols and sister-in-law Sharon Abraham all of Wolf Point, MT; Nephews and nieces Jamie and Wesley Abraham; Tasha Anderson; Karen and Daniel Harmon; Dawn and John Abraham and Jedidiah, Benjamin and Samuel Boysun.
