Alexandria Dawn Nation, 32, of Tulalip, WA met with the Great Creator on Sunday, July 21, 2019 to start her journey home. Alex was born in Poplar, MT to Felicia “Sugar” Jones and Lowell “Stinker” Nation on November 12, 1986 at the Poplar Community Hospital.
Alex enjoyed listening to music, going to powwows, camping, fishing, beading, drawing, coloring, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She loved to cook, bake, and family BBQ’s while standing by a fire. She did love her seafood, wild game, and pizza!
Alex was overall a very loving, happy, and outgoing young lady with a great personality and sense of humor. She was always cracking jokes and making people laugh. She made friends everywhere she went. She would also help out those in need, even though she was in need of help herself.
Alex was an avid pool player and sometimes played in numerous pool leagues with her mother.
Alex was also a very sick young lady who battled with her diabetes (as she was born in a glucose coma) and addiction on a daily basis. She had just graduated from her treatment program in March and was very proud of her accomplishment. But still had a family who loved her very much, even though she preferred her life of freedom.
She also enjoyed going to sweat, sundances, learning how to sing powwow music/songs, drum, and dance Native American style.
Alex went to school in Wolf Point, Poplar, Billings, and Glasgow, MT, and Dickenson, ND; graduating the 11 th grade with just 3 credits shy of the 12 th grade. She enjoyed going to her prom in the 10 th and 11 th grade. She also played soccer in Wolf Point during middle school.
