Alfred Comes Last, age 72, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 a day before his 73 rd birthday. He was born October 7, 1942 in Frazer, MT to Albert Comes Last (Twin) and Margaret Shyface.
He married Linda Red Elk on November 20, 1982. They had 3 children, Janet, Sherri, and Kerri from previous marriages, Dorian, Alfred Jr., Alta, and Allard. Alfred’s favorite hobbies were playing bingo, machines, pool, and horseshoes he enjoying listening to old gospel music and powwow music, and being with his grandkids to many to mention. He got his welding certificate in San Jose, CA in the 60’s, he also taught welding in Crow Agency, Lame Deer, and Red Lodge Community Colleges.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Linda Comes Last; his children, Janet (Kevin), Sherri (Kirby), Kerri (Cory), Dorian, Alta, and Albert; step children, Sonja Low Dog, Raymond (Darlene) Burshia Jr., JaTonna (Jeffery) Walking Eagle; sister, Elizabeth “Tiny” (Dave); nieces, Margaret (Bonnie) The Boy, Wilma (Max) Pretty Shield, Liza, MaryAnn, Emily Comes Last, Bessie Beauchamp, and Winnifred Schafer; nephew, Pat Comes Last; and special nephew, Danny Gonzales.
A wake will be held 7 p.m. Monday, October 12 at the Community Hall in Wolf Point. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 13 at the Community Hall in Wolf Point. Interment will follow at the Oswego Presbyterian Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
