She married Moses Shawl on July 17, 1937, to this union 6 children were born. Moses was the love of her life, even after death. They resided in Lodge Pole for many years, where she worked with him side by side. He taught her how to play the guitar, and he played the fiddle. They played for dances around the area for many years in which she sang all the latest country songs. They moved to Harlem in the 50’s. She worked at Frip’s Café and Merles confectionary. Moses and Angela moved to Los Angeles, California in the relocation program in the late 50’s. This is where she learned her karate skills. She was so proud of her many belts as she moved up to the black belt level. She resided at Faith Lutheran Home for a short period, and then moved back in with her grandson, Robert and Jewel. They took care of her until she was too sick, and had to be in the hospital. She was strong in her faith to Jesus, and prayed to him all the time. She requested that others pray.
