April Lynn Scott, age 18, of Poplar, MT passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in Poplar, MT.
April was born on January 29, 1991 in Williston, ND to Pauline Eyvette Red Star and Reginal Dale Scott but lived all her life in the Poplar community. She is the mother of two sons, ReShaun Mail and Jeremiah Scott.
She was a senior at Poplar High School and was currently employed at the Boys and Girls Club in Poplar.
April loved spending time with her kids, her family and friends and playing volleyball.
She is survived by her two sons, ReShaun Mail and Jeremiah Scott of Poplar; her father, Reginald Scott of Poplar; her brother Michael Menz of Poplar; six sisters, Laurel (Dennis) Grayhawk and Tyra (Aaron) Scott of Poplar, Sheila Lonz of Fredericksburg, VA, Marian Scott, Nancy Scott and Tricia Scott, all of Poplar; maternal grandfather, Paul Red Star Jr. of Wounded Knee, SD; special aunt, Crystal Lester (Robert Azure Sr.) of Poplar; best friend, Kalynn Chopper of Poplar; five aunties, Patricia Red Star (Gerald Lonebear) and Nancy Red Star (William Jones) of Poplar and Josephine Red Star of Billings, MT, Marcella Eder (Joel Greybull) and Shannon Eder (Harry Ironbear) of Poplar; and eleven uncles, Calvin Lester (Rhonda Clark) of Poplar, George Red Star of Wounded Knee, SD, Samuel (Deanna) Red Star of Poplar, Levi (Teri) Red Star of Rapid City, SD and Delbert (Michelle) Red Star, Joseph Red Star and Robert Eder (Eldoris Alexander) of Poplar, Juan Eder (Valarie Boyd) of Riverton, WY and Kenneth Eder and Kevin Eder of Poplar; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Red Star, Maternal grandmother, Virginian Lame Dog and paternal grandparents, Harold Renz Sr. and Delores Scott.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Poplar Cultural Center, Poplar, MT. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the Poplar Cultural Center with interment at St. Ann’s Cemetery west of Poplar, MT. Pastor Vance Thomas will be officiating.
