Arline King, age 88, of Wolf Point, MT passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point.
Arline was born November 13, 1919 in Poplar the daughter of John and Elsie Klippstein.
She grew up south of Poplar in the Grandview Community on the homestead. She attended country schools as a girl and high school in Richey, MT.
Arline married Glenn King in Glendive on May 29, 1938. They made their home on the farm in Grandview and later moved to Wolf Point in 1945. They were blessed with five children: Elsie, Jerry, Richard, Rita and Paul.
She enjoyed the outdoors including feeding the birds, gardening and flowers. Arline also enjoyed her family, visiting with friends and embroidery. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and then later joined Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Arline kept busy working various jobs including the Thrift Shop, The Sherman, Trinity Hospital and the Activities Department at Faith Lutheran Home.
She is survived by four children: Elsie Hanson of Wolf Point, MT, Jerry (Leon) Lippert of Williston, ND, Richard King of Glasgow, MT, and Rita (Steve) Berube of Glendive, MT; 11 grandchildren: Robert, Rodney, Barth, Trudi, Jacklyne, Casey, Dana, Shelly, Craig, Derek and Scott and 11 great grandchildren: Andrew, Trevor, Tiffany, Trenton, Quinn, Brady, Kiya, Cody, Kaylee, Michael and Kyle.
Arline was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn King, and infant son, Paul King, two sisters, Ruth Klippstein and Helen Emerson and her brother, Harold Klippstein.
Visitations from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 26 at followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point, MT. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery south of Poplar, MT in Richland County.
