The love of our life Armon Mathew Boyd, left us to be with the Lord and his mom on January 11, 2014. He was 21 years old.

He was born on July 21, 1992 to Alesia Black Dog and Allen Boyd at the Poplar Hospital.

Armon “Poohz” was an outgoing, loveable guy with a big smile, who loved life and people. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He loved going hunting, fishing, or just doing something with his brothers and friends. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and cruising around especially with his friends, Traci Yellow Hammer and Lloyd Nygard, and his cousin, Emerson Boyd. Armon graduated from Brockton High School in 2011 and went to Fort Peck Community College where he played basketball with the Buffalo Chasers basketball team. Armon is survived by his grandmother, Arletta Black Dog of Brockton; dad, Allen Boyd of Poplar; uncle, Arnon (Faith) Black Dog of Poplar; brothers, Avery Blaine (Brett) and Allery Black Dog; sisters, Ariana (Gabby) Black Dog of Brockton and Eileen Lambert of Poplar; his special nephew and nieces who he loved dearly, Aevryn, Erin Lee, and Lillian Black Dog of Brockton; great grandma, Loretta Bearcub of Fort Kipp; grandmas, Jamie and Kate Youpee, Millie (Marion) Runs Through, Dolly Boyd, Sharon Red Thunder, Velma Nepstad, Naomie Montclair, Juanita (Doug) Youngman, Bette Iron Ring, Delphine LaMay, Ceya and Lydia Long Hair, Della (Mike) Thomas, Ida Mae Black Dog, Dani Sue Red Bull, Patricia Reyson of Texas, Catherine Spotted Bird,  Helen (George) Ricker, and Josie Youpee; grandpas, Sno Rattling Thunder, Mickey Young, Richard (Eliza) Young, Donovan Red Boy Sr., Bobby Youpee, Russell Youpee, Archie Bearcub, Lawrence (Martha) and Maynard Black Dog, Charlie Green, Brian Black Dog, Frank Loans Arrow Jr., Leland (Doris) Spotted Bird; uncles, Lenny, Terry, Frenchie, Bug, and Dude Rattling Thunder, and Myron Spotted Bird; cousins, Jaten and Jezarae Young Bear, Jess, Tylynn, Thatcher, Barry, MaShann, Phoenix, Brooks, Terrille, Keith, Jalen, Jamis, Melvin Jr., Ma Tia, Matt Jr. Rattling Thunder, Emerson, Trent, Kimberlynn, Leroy Boyd, Jason Walking Eagle, Ian Drum; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews too many to mention, but know he loved you all.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Alesia “Baby Girl” Black Dog; papa, William Necklace; grandmother, Louise Boyd; grandfather, Allen Youpee; and maternal grandparents, Mathew and Delma Black Dog.

A wake will be held 7 p.m. Friday, January 17 at the Brockton Cultural Center. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 18 at the Brockton Cultural Center. Interment will follow at the Riverside Presbyterian Cemetery.
