Arnold Nufry Boysun went to be with our lord & savior on April 30, 2011 after a long illness. He was born in Square Deal Fort Peck, where his father worked to help build the dam, on April 12, 1939. He died in Billings, MT on April 30, 2011 at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nufry & Margaret (Christopherson) Boysun of Vida area.
Arnold is survived by his wife Linda and six sons; Chris (Faith) Boysun, Culbertson, MT, Nufry (Sherry) Boysun, Wolf Point, Dan (Shelley) Boysun, Billings, MT, Dave (Brenda) Boysun, Vida, MT, Willy Boysun, Glendive, MT, Tom (Karen) Boysun, Washburn, ND, 20 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. His four sisters, Phoebe Harne, Cerritos, CA, Jackie Toavs, Helena, MT, Marlene (Virgil) Toavs, Ft. Peck, MT, Jeanne (Joe) Hepfner, Belt, MT.
Arnold spent his entire life, ranching and farming on the family farm. He attended school at Sand Creek and graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1957. He loved music; playing the guitar and fiddle at gatherings and church for many years and he passed his love for music onto his children and grandchildren. He became well known for the “fiddlers jam” he held the second weekend in June at the family farm every year, where people came to dance and play music into the early morning hours.
On April 18, 1960, Arnold married his high school sweetheart, Linda Delaney and together they raised 6 sons. Arnold & Linda celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary in 2011. Arnold will be missed by all who knew him and loved him for his fun loving spirit.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 7 pm with the Rosary at 7 p.m. on May 2, at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Arnold’s funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, May 3.at the St Ann’s Parish in Vida, MT. Interment will follow at the Holy Eucharist Cemetery, southwest of Vida. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
