Benz MacKenzie Weston, “Zintkana To” (Blue Bird), age 6, of Poplar, MT passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Poplar Hospital.
Benz, the son of Eileen Lambert, was born on January 20, 2006 in Great Falls, MT. He was baptized into the Presbyterian Church in Brockton which was held at his grandma Pearl’s home. Benz enjoyed hugs and kisses, being read to, listening to his radio and watching his favorite movies, Cars and Shrek. He loved bouncing through the back-roads whether he was going fishing, hunting, or just taking a ride.
Benz was a student at the Poplar Elementary School. He always looked forward to going to school and getting to know his two great loving, and caring teachers as well as other familiar voices that would peek in just to say hi.
He is survived by his parents, Eileen Lambert and Roger Headdress of Poplar; baby sister, Charlie K.R. Headdress of Poplar; step-brother, Kole Headdress of Poplar; maternal grandparents, Geraldine and Mike Ward of Poplar, Rayette Lambert, Wilfred (Shannon) Lambert, and Roberta Campbell all of Brockton, Merilee Evenson of Poplar and Tatum Evenson of Billings; maternal great grandparents, Irene Evenson, Myron and Theresa Four Bear, and Dennis Four Bear all of Brockton; Casey Weston of Brockton; paternal grandparents, Loren and Tish Weston of Frazer, Lisa Adams of Wolf Point and Bernard and Desi Lambert of Brockton; aunts, Tristian (Phillip) and Kassidy Ward of Poplar, Alexis and Hunter Lambert of Poplar, Krysten Walking Eagle of Brockton; uncles, Mike Ward Jr., Orlando, Lil’ Wilfred and Blake Lambert, and Cruz Evenson all of Poplar; cousins, Hailey and Haidyn Ward, Jaydesen and Tristen Chapman all of Poplar; special aunts/sitters, Kimberlyn Boyd of Brockton, and Casey Walla of Poplar; special grandparents, Chuck Spotted Bird and Stacy Crowe, both of Brockton and Charles Headdress of Poplar; and numerous family and friends.
Benz was preceded in death by his great-great-grandfather, Ervin Four Bear; great grandparents, Gerald and Kathleen Lambert; and uncle, Dallas Ward.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 19 at the Cultural Center in Poplar. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20 also at the Cultural Center in Poplar. Interment will follow at the Fort Kipp Cemetery in Fort Kipp, MT.
