Brandi Marie Crazy Bull-Dunphy (also known as Brandee Chopper), age 30, of Fort Kipp, MT went home to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012.

Brandi was born on February 22, 1982 to Aletha Chopper and Charles Crazy Bull in Poplar, Montana.

Brandi lived in Fort Kipp until the age of 7 then moved to Bismarck, ND where she attended her grade school and junior high school. The family then moved back to Montana where she attended Brockton High School for a short while before leaving to the Weber Basin Job Corps in Utah, to finish her education. This is where she received her G.E.D. and finished her training as a Certified Welder. Brandi was employed at numerous places such as Wal Mart, and as a nurse’s assistant but she mainly enjoyed her employment with Herman Oil in Williston, ND. Brandi enjoyed life to the fullest; she loved and was loved by many. She was a very caring and loving person. She never knew a stranger and would not hesitate to help. She had a beautiful smile that would brighten anybody’s day and heal any broken heart. Brandi had a great sense of humor, she loved to joke and tease with her family and friends. She especially loved and adored her four beautiful children and three nephews.

Brandi will be missed by all that knew her especially her family and many friends.

Brandi is survived by her mother, Aletha Chopper of Fort Kipp; husband, Chris Dunphy and their four beautiful children, Kyle F. Dunphy, Savannah L. Dunphy, Kale A. Dunphy, and Noah C. Her extended family includes the White Eagle’s, Perry’s, Grey Hawk’s, and Iron Bear’s and also numerous families on the Spirit Lake and Standing Rock reservations.

Brandi is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Frank and Lucille Chopper; father, Charles Crazy Bull; grandparents, Nelson Crowe and Louise Iron Bear; brother, Jeremy D. Chopper; uncles, Franklin D. Chopper, and Abraham (Abe) Chopper, Sr.; grandpas, Ervin Four Bear, Virgil Four Bear, and Raymond Four Bear; niece, Sierra R. Follette; nephews, Adam Black Dog and Kyle F. Martell; aunts, Carol Menz, and Barb Merculieff; cousin, Robert Long Tree, Jr.; and uncle, Roy Longtree.

A wake will be held 7 p.m. Friday, April 13 at the James Black Dog Activity Center in Fort Kipp. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14 also at the James Black Dog Activity Center in Fort Kipp. Interment will follow at the Fort Kipp Cemetery.

Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point and Poplar has been entrusted with the arrangements.
