Our lovable “Chunks”, Brooklynn Hailey Rose Young, age 9, of Poplar, MT left us so unexpected on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. She was so young and lovable. It shocked everyone who knew her reservation wide. She went to join her families in Heaven and her dad will meet her with open arms. She was loved by everyone who knew her. We will never forget how lovable she was and forever keep her in our thoughts and hearts.
She was raised by her grandmother, Julia Young of Poplar. Her mother is DeRae (Nate) Wounded Face of Poplar; sisters, DeRyen and Mystic Young, Lala Chase, and Larsena Ten Bear all of Poplar; brothers, Nathanial Curley of Billings, James (Ronnie) Garcia, and Wes and Wacey Grey Bull all of Poplar; aunts Ronalee (Lester) Carpentier, Sandra Carpentier, Jonelle (Todd) Menz all of Poplar; uncle, Robert (Eda) Carpentier of Poplar; special grandpa, Cody Eagleman of Poplar; great grandmother, Lillie Mae Smith of Newtown, ND; close cousins, Julia Carpentier, and Ronald Fast Horse.
She goes to join her family who left before her, dad, Gerald Young; nephews, Harlan Walking Eagle III, Michael Hapa, Levi Olson, Jr., David Capentier, McKenzie Wounded Face; nieces, Charlynn Capentier, Dorothy Carpentier, and Teresa Olson; grandmothers, Raquel Menz and Shannon Eder; grandfathers, Joe Bill Wounded Face and Floyd Comes Last.

A wake will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 12 at the Activity Center in Poplar. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 13 also at the Activity Center in Poplar. Interment will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery.
