Bruce Nordwick Sr.

November 16, 1955 — October 27, 2017

Bruce Allen Nordwick Sr. went home to be with the lord on October 27th, 2017 after a long hard fought battle with cancer.  He was surrounded by his children when he made his journey home. Bruce was born on November 16th, 1955 to Ellis John Nordwick and Helen Claire Blevins in Poplar, MT.  Bruce attended Poplar Schools but later graduated from Brockton High School in 1974.  He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1976. He was meritoriously promoted to Lance Corporal and went through sea school and served on the USS Independence in the Mediterranean and other ports being honorably discharged in 1978.  Bruce returned home and met the love of his life and his best friend, Mary Ellen Reddog.  They were married on November 15th, 1980 and to this union they had 3 children Lori Jo (Doug) Rakstad, Ryan Lee (Doug) Marottek, Bruce (Maureen) Nordwick, Jr. Bruce loved construction work, earning his AAS Degree in building trades.  He could do just about anything in that field, he was a jack of all trades.  He was a hard worker and took pride in all his work.  He worked in the family business and made his living working in construction.  In his downtime he loved spending time with his family.  He especially adored his grandchildren, 9 granddaughters, Taylor, Randi & Rachael Azure, Blayke Rakstad, Dusti, Rylee & Dylan Marottek, Morgen & Braelyn Nordwick, 1 grandson Greyson Nordwick and 1 great grandson Canyon Gray Hawk.  Bruce had a great sense of humor and loved to tease and play tricks on his grandchildren, they all inherited his crazy sense of humor.  Bruce always had a positive outlook on life and was a humble man.

Bruce is survived by his wife Mary, his children Lori Jo, Ryan Lee & Bruce Jr., granddaughters, Taylor, Randi, Rachael, Blayke, Dusti, Rylee, Dylan, Morgen, Braelyn, Grandson Greyson and great grandson Canyon. His brothers, John (Gwyn) Nordwick of Helena, MT, Tom (Jill) Nordwick of Uvalde, TX, Joe Nordwick of Boston, MA, sisters, Mary (Todd) Dewire of Tuscarora, PA, LeAnne (Frank) Kenny of Deerfield Beach, FL, Jodie (Jack) Fields of Wisconsin, Marci Nordwick of Tuscarora, PA and numerous neices, nephews and relatives. He is preceeded in death by his parents John & Helen, Brothers Bill & Earl, sisters Kay & Helene Nordwick.

Bruce we will forever cherish every memory we had and you will continue to live on in our hearts forever until we meet again.

A prayer service will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point, Montana. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Assembly of God Church in Poplar, Montana. Interment will follow at Poplar City Cemetery in Poplar, Montana.
