Cecile Ann Loendorf, age 93, of Wolf Point, MT passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point.
Cecile was born on July 13, 1914, the second child of Osias and Ernistine (Houle) Gagne. She grew up in Riverside, Montana helping on the family farm. Cecile loved to go to dances on the weekends and dance with her dad.
On September 20, 1930 she married the love of her life Charlie Loendorf, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Wolf Point, Montana. They farmed and ranched until 1939 when they moved to Wolf Point. Cecile worked preparing lunch for Immaculate Conception School for four years. She then worked in the kitchen at the Faith Lutheran Home for 16 years. Cecile and Mrs. Casey helped start the first Catholic hamburger stand. She was also very active in any group she belonged to, usually doing bookwork for them. Charlie and Cecile were very active in the Senior Center for many years.
Cecile is survived by four of her five children; Dolores Lien, of Wolf Point, Lyle Loendorf of Chinook, MT, Ed Loendorf of Helena, MT, and Therese Ronish of Richland WA, and numerous grand, great and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Elvin, her husband Charles, two sisters Beatrice Dillon and Irene Draper, and two brothers Raymond and Douglas.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 24 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point starting at 1:00 p.m. with a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Steve Zabrocki as Celebrant. Interment will follow after the lunch at Vida Cemetery.
