Charles Clampitt, age 64, passed away on April 26, 2021 in Wolf Point, MT. Charles was born to Frank Clampitt and Joan Carol (Track) Clampitt on Dec. 18, 1956 in Wolf Point, MT.
He attended high school in Frazer, MT, Haskell Indian Junior College and Missoula Carpentry School. His jobs included A&S Industries, custom combining, seism graphing in Rock Springs, Colorado and Glendive, oil field and he was a cook at the south side school in Wolf Point. He cut many cords of wood, had a love of motor cycles and enjoyed farming and ranching.
He married Jeneen Spang in 1976, from this union came 3 daughters, Alona Clampitt, Tanya Schwab and Jenny Clampitt. Later he met the love of his life, Jan Thompson. They shared a love of animals, they had many special ones, Rosie, Pepper, Whisky, Bud and Patty to name a few.
Chanman enjoyed making his rounds, visiting his friends from the Horseshoe to Cattleman’s to Harry’s and everywhere else in-between. And it was always his birthday.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Alona Clampitt, Tanya Schwab (Brandon) and Jenny; grandsons Michael and Brandon; brother Ken Clampitt; sister Joan Clampitt and step-son Jim Thompson; speicla niece Jonas Flynn and nephew Nathan Keiser who dedicated many hours helping and taking care of him; numerous nieces, nephews and grandkids.
Charles is preceded in death by the love of his life, Jan; his parents Frank and Joan Clampitt; maternal grandparents Charles and Mary Afraid of His Track; paternal grandparents Fletcher and Frances Clampitt; son-in-law Matt Long Jaw; brothers Frank Clampitt; nephew Roger Flynn, Jr and Brayden Jackson.
