Clarence Gerald Spotted Wolf, age 55, of Poplar, MT went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2010 in Poplar, MT.
He was born November 11, 1954 to George Sterling Spotted Wolf Jr. and Vera Roberts in Stanley, ND. He attended school in Frazer, MT and graduated in 1974. He was a very talented basketball player for the Frazer Bearcubs during his high school career. He was even inducted into the basketball hall of fame after an undefeated season in 1972. He also went to the state basketball tournament with the Bearcubs in 1974. After graduating he enlisted into the Army and served his country for 4 years.
He married Mary Rose Melbourne in 1978, to this union came three children, George, Alana, and Sophie Spotted Wolf. They later divorced and he met Mary Ann Stark in 1992. Mary Ann and Clarence were married in 2000, to this union came two children, Clarence Jr. and Ty Lynn Spotted Wolf.
He worked various jobs at A&S Industries, roads department, gravel companies, and as a seasonal fire fighter. He enjoyed watching Monday night football and was a big fan of the New York Jets. He also liked to watch basketball, play pool, fish, and play cards. He mainly looked forward to watching his grandbabies dance at the local powwows. He was well known for his sense of humor that always had people laughing. Clarence also raised his two grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Prairie Dawn “PD”.
He is preceded in death by his father, George Sterling Spotted Wolf Jr.; brother, Lloyd Spotted Wolf; children, Clarence Jr. and Ty Lynn Spotted Wolf; granddaughter, Natalie Rose Alexander; and step-son, Gerald Bear Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Vera (John Henry) Iron Man of Poplar; wife, Mary Ann Spotted Wolf of Poplar; children, George (Lynda), Alana, and Sophie Spotted Wolf all of Poplar; other family, Katie (Kenneth) Thunderchild-Pinkerton of Poplar, Stacie (Freedom) Crawford of Wolf Point, MT and Jaimee Wothington of Twin Falls, ID; brothers, Ivan Roberts, August (Darla) Spotted Wolf of Brockton, and Austin Spotted Wolf all of Poplar; sisters, Neva, Joanne (Loren) and Agnes Spotted Wolf all of Poplar, Linda Dean of Miles City, MT, and Lucinda Standing Bear of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Jordan, Kendra, Bayzel, Courtney, Ryan and Nadden Spotted Wolf, Nokia and Tah’nee Pinkerton, Michael Hapa Jr., and Prairie Dawn
