Our beloved son, father, husband, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin and nephew left us on December 17, 2023 due to health reasons. He was born on July 24, 1979 to Meryle Judy Hotomanie and Clayton Raymond Montclair, both of Wolf Point, MT.
Clayton will be forever missed by his mother Meryle Montclair and he will remain in the hearts of his ex-wife Talissa Jill Muskrat and their children Clayton R. Montclair III (Trish and grandson Tyson) of Wolf Point, Daniel Jaymes Muskrat of Wolf Point, Devyn Jaye and Jorda, Diamond Jade Montclair and Akoya, their son Jordon James Montclair, Kylar and Ariya Montclair of Poplar; his brothers Louis, Silas, and John Montclair of Poplar, Greg and Raina of Regina, Saskatchewan Canada and their children Elisha Firemoon, Trey and Ashley Taylor of Wolf Point, Snowy Romero of Oklahoma, Payton and Greg A. Jr. of Regina, Sask; his step mother Marian Montclair of Poplar; his sister Angel Joy Montclair Burling (Jon Burling) and their 7 children Kaitlyn E. Burling of Okinawa, Ella R. Burling of Orlando, FL, Christian Burling of Louisiana and Gabriel, Nathan, Ryder and Amelia all of Marraro, Louisiana.
He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Robert Montclair Sr. and Louella Lester; his maternal grandparents Ruth Hotomanie Firemoon and Mike Ryder; his brothers Jesse and Thomas Montclair; his sister-in-law Sarah Jackson Montclair; his cousins Laurel and Lonnie Geddes from CTK Saskatchewan, Marla and Willie Jackson from Frazer, MT. Clayton lost his brother Jesse and his sister-in-law Sarah, they left behind four children: Dominique Montclair Bad bear, Damian of New town, Jessy of Wolf Point, Emmanuel of Marraro, LA .
Clayton stepped up to support his nieces and nephews. He was very proud of them, especially Manny who joined the Marines in May of 2023. He was also very proud of his niece, Kaitlyn Burling, who is also a Marine as of 2022.
Clayton was also in a relationship with Dawnette Green and this union produced three beautiful and brilliant daughters, Mila Montclair, Justine Green and baby Dawnette Montclair. He loved his daughters and tried to spend quality time with them.
Clayton was a very intelligent person with a high IQ. This tended to het him in trouble if he was bored. Clayton had numerous jobs, working concrete, construction with Hi-Tech and Fisher in Billings. Cooking at various fast food outlets in Great Falls. He was an awesome cook and enjoyed it. He was a delivery person for Deaconess Hospital before it became Billings Clinic. Clayton was into being healthy, eating healthy and staying fit. He also liked to garden, he enjoyed planting flowers and vegetables.
Clayton was absolutely energized to become a grandpa. He was so proud of his grandchildren, Jordan, Thomas Montclair, Evangeline “Vange” “Evie” Montclair, Zander King Bad Bear.
Clayton enjoyed hanging out with his nieces and nephews, laughing and joking around. Drinking and smoking weed. He always had to find something funny in any situation. He had the uttermost respect for his mother. He taught his family to stick together. To have respect for yourself and your family.
He was a one-of-a-kind person who will be missed by many. He left us with good memories! Till we meet again “Mahto”.
