Clifford Wayne Granbois, age 28, of Poplar, MT passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 in Great Falls, MT.
Clifford was born in Poplar, MT on April 3, 1981 to Phillip Harris Granbois and Pauline (Longtree) Granbois.
He attended schools in Poplar and received his GED. He also attended Fort Peck Community College and received his CDL Truck Driver license. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar and his godparents were Theresa and Kenneth Smoker.
On October 8, 2009 he married Theresa Laroque. He was employed as a truck driver for Mon-Dak and Marvell Trucking of Newtown, N.D. and Williston, N.D. Clifford loved playing pool and was a league player; he also loved to ride horses and to visit with his family and friends.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Theresa of Poplar, MT; his three children, Caitlyn Jean, Clifford W. Jr. and Kyle Harris Granbois of Poplar; his parents, Pauline and Phillip Granbois of Poplar; a brother Phillip H. (Wenona) Granbois III of Poplar, a sister, Meredith (Kirby) Granbois of NewTown, N.D. and a brother Leonard Hilliard of Ft. Lewis WA and two grandfathers, Clifford Melbourne of Troutdale, OR and Manuel Paul Melbourne of Poplar.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Clarence and Alice Longtree and Phillip Harris and Beulah U. Granbois; aunt Clarice IronLeggins; five uncles, Kevin L. Longtree (recently), Charles W. Longtree, Robert ‘Bob’ Longtree, James Granbois and Glen Ray Granbois; nephew Jake Preston Granbois and cousins Wade Harris White Eagle and Mahogany Rose Youngman.
A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Poplar, MT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar with Fr. Francis Schreiber as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery west of Poplar. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.stevensonandsons.com. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chaplet has been entrusted with the arrangements.
