Colleen Emma Jean Devereaux-Romero left this world at 3:40am on November 30th, 2022, with her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, special nephew, and aunt by her side.
Colleen was born on March 29, 1962, to Linda Red Boy. She attended school in Brockton where she grew up with her brothers Kevin Devereaux, the late Kenny and Grace Devereaux and John Red Thunder, Johnelle Jones, and Jamie Red Thunder.
In the spring of 1982 Colleen was blessed with the birth of her Oldest Daughter Darcee, followed by her second Daughter, Linda 3 years later in the fall of 1985.
Colleen called Billings, MT home for many years as well as Great Falls, Mt. She made many lifelong friends in her travels and worked various jobs she later in life returned to Poplar, MT which is where she resided until her time of death.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family visiting, playing dice and making her plastic canvas crafts.
Colleen is survived by her daughter Darcee (Jeremy) St.Germaine, grandchildren Quincy, Minka, Ruby Belgarde & Piper St.Germaine, brother Kevin Devereaux, sisters Johnelle Jones & Jamie Red Thunder, aunts Jeannette (Kate) Youpee, Millie (Marion) Runsthrough, Sharon Red Thunder, Jamie Youpee, nephews Isaiah, Arthur and Quinten Devereaux, Frederick, Wallace, Orville Archdale, Clarence (Cindy), Kaine and Kassius Fasthorse, Dan (Danielle) Red Thunder, nieces, Trista, Maurita and Mystical Devereaux, Timberly and Kristen Devereaux, Jamelle Kennedy, Jennifer (Shantre) Red Thunder, Jenna (Tony) Red Thunder, Joni Jones and Te’Airra Fasthorse, cousins Ira Track, Raymond Track, Shilo Fourbear, Windy (Eric) Howard, Millie (Felix) Runsthrough Jr., Marion Runsthrough Jr, Angeline Red Thunder, Jeanette Youpee III, Jim, Sean Youpee, Maria Youpee, Heather Youpee, Karen, Robert, Sophina, Edith Youpee, Summer and Kelly Beauchman, Lenny, Melvin (Melissa), Francis, Matthew, and Harlan Rattling Thunder, Debbie, Wayne Jr, Valerie, Michelle, Jodie, Samson, Waynette, Sharon Boyd, and Les Longhair; special friends, Joleen Laroche, Dina Diserly, William Plainbull, Almyra Grayhawk, David Magnan, James (ToGo) Lizotte, and Thelma (Petey) Bird. Colleens’ family is exceptionally large so please forgive us if we have missed anyone.
Colleen is proceeded in death by her Daughter Linda Devereaux, Mother Linda Red Boy, brothers Kenneth Devereaux and John Red Thunder Jr.,cousin Rocky Clark, Joseph Youpee and Denise Red Thunder, Valerie (Big Momma) Youpee, nephews Mathias Fasthorse and Kenneth (Hoss) Devereaux. She is also preceded by her grandparents Lester (Jim) and Jeanette Youpee, aunts Dolly Boyd, uncles Tommy Youpee, Lester Youpee Jr., Gary Youpee, Robert Youpee Sr., Joe Youpee, Russell Youpee and Sheldon Youpee. A wake will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
