On Wednesday May 5th, 2021 Cordell “Corky” Luke BlackEagle Went to fly with the angels after a long battle with cancer surrounded by loved ones.
Cordell was born September 20th 1966 in Glasgow Montana to Donna Hopkins and Tom BlackEagle. He grew up at Porcupine Creek on the family farm North of Nashua. After graduation he attended college in Salt Lake City Utah then went to work on the Alaskan fishing boats. In 1995 Cordell returned to Wolf Point where he met the love of his life Connie (Martell) BlackEagle, and on July 3rd 1996 Cordell and Connie were married.
Cordell spent the next 25 years of his life with his wife Connie and 5 children Misty (Baker), Frank (Baker), Kristy (Daughtry), Jessie (Gribble), and together in 2014 they adopted a baby boy, Anthony BlackEagle.
Corky loved going for long walks, finding treasures, and you can always find him in the process of either taking things apart or fixing anything he could get his hands on. Above all his favorite pastime was spending time with his family telling stories, making jokes, and just all around being silly and making people laugh.
Cordell was preceded in death by his parents Tom BlackEagle Sr and Donna Hopkins, sisters Lizzy BlackEagle, Brenda Clancy, and Maryilyn Clancy as well as a brother Gary BlackEagle. Cordell is survived by his wife Connie BlackEagle brothers Tom Jr, Tom, Matt, mark, and Glenn BlackEagle and sister Kim BlackEagle, children Misty, Frank, Kristy, Jessie, Sabrina, Taryn, and Anthony as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel. Cremation will follow services.
