Craig Allen Azure

February 3, 1959 — September 1, 2024

Craig Allen Azure passed away peacefully on Sept 1, 2024, in his wife’s loving arms at Trinity Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.

Craig was born in Poplar Mt, on Feb 3, 1959, to Lazare Ezear “John” Azure and Emily Bruguier Azure. He was the 7 th of 12 children.

He attended Northside, Southside Elementary Schools in Wolf Point and graduated in 1977 from Wolf Point High School and went on to attend Northern University in Havre, Mt.

Craig spoke fondly of his childhood. He cherished all the times he had with his siblings and friends and numerous cousins. His father taught him to hunt and fish, which later became one of his greatest passions in life. He often talked about the numerous “hikes” up Wolf Creek, stopping along the way to catch a fish or shoot a rabbit which he always took to his grandmother Catherine Azure, whom he adored. She was always ready to cook them up for him. His fondest memories were of the times he spent with his grandparents, Louis and Catherine. As he grew up, he helped his father in the construction field, which would later become his life’s work.

In 1985 he met his wife, Jennifer. They married in 1986 and became the center of each other’s world. They enjoyed life together and could always be found off at the lake fishing, or hunting or on their way to their many concerts they loved to attend. Always on the go, they were always together. This union lasted strong and loving until his passing and will continue till the end of time.

This union brought forth the birth of their children Aaron Allen Azure, Tacette Lynn Azure and Samantha Ann Moran. Family meant everything to Craig. He worked hard and tirelessly to provide for them and make sure they had whatever they needed or wanted.

Throughout his life he worked many construction jobs. He worked for Sansaver Const., Sletten Const., and Apollo Const., to name a few. He later started his own company A Plus Construction of which he was very proud. He prided himself on being hardworking, fair and honest. If he didn’t earn it, he didn’t want it. He knew he had to work hard so he could play hard.

Craigs passion in life was being an outdoorsman. He loved camping, fishing and was an exceptional hunter. Known for his love of big Muleys, he could always be found on the trail of the “big guy”.

Mostly he can be remembered for his kind and giving heart. If he had it and you needed it, it was yours. His generous acts are too numerous to count but he touched so many lives with his generosity, never wanting or needing anything in return.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer Marquardt Azure. His children Aaron Allen Azure, Tacette Lynn Azure and Samantha (Jordan) Moran all of Wolf Point, Mt. His brothers Rodney “Dudsi” (Carol) Azure of Poplar Mt. Kevin (Val) of Wolf Point. Sisters Donna Taylor of Billings Mt, Pauline (Bert) Feuvray of Hardin Mt, Sharon Azure of Gallup New Mexico, Linda Azure of Minneapolis MN, Connie (Frank) MacDonald of Wolf Point, Mt, Judy Azure of Edina MN, Rita Langager of St. George, UT, and Sherl (Ron) Shanks of Brockton Mt.  He is also survived by many family members (cousins, nephews, nieces, etc) that are too numerous to mention, that he loved dearly and an abundance of friends he cared deeply about.

He is preceded in death by his father, John. Mother, Emily and his stepfather Leroy Forrest. Brother Michael Azure, and grandparents Louis and Catherine Azure and Leo and Elsie Bruguier and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom he cared for deeply.

Craig was an amazing man, loving husband, exceptional father and an extremely hard worker and the best friend anyone could ever want. His loss is overwhelming and unmatched. He will be missed intensely and deeply by those who loved and knew him. Please watch over us and guide us as you did in life, we love you more than these words will ever be able to express.
