Daniel Wayne Lambert Sr. (Wasu-peta, which means Hail Fire) passed away peacefully at his home in Wolf Point on October 10, 2017.
Daniel was born in Poplar, MT on May 7, 1960 to James Lambert Sr. and Martha (Shawl) Lambert. He is survived by his son Daniel Jr.; Daughter Lucy; mother Martha (Shawl) Lambert of Wolf Point, MT; siblings Nora (Wade) Drewry of Billings, MT, Ronald Lambert Sr. of Wolf Point, MT, and Michael Lambert of Wolf Point, MT. He was preceded in death by his father James Lambert Sr. and siblings Marnita Lambert, Mary Lambert, James Lambert Jr. and Holly Lambert. Daniel had various cousins, nephews, nieces and grandchildren.
Daniel was very family oriented. He loved his siblings and had so many crazy adventures to share. Adventures ranging from trying to catch a foot long icicle with his head – to building derby cars, being the original fast and the furious.
He was also someone who loved to laugh and tease. Some examples include him singing Pussycat to annoy his sister, or the countless times he would greet his nephew by saying Harry, Harry, Harry – a nickname that only Daniel could come up with to embarrass him. I’m sure there are plenty more examples that his boys could tell.
Daniel was mechanically inclined. People sought out his help with any car problems. He would lend a helping hand so people could save their hard earned money. This was one of many passions Daniel held.
These are only a few things people will remember about Daniel. The truth is, there was no one like Daniel. He was a warrior, family man and one of the most beautiful souls on Earth. His passing has left a huge hole in our hearts and someone who will be missed dearly. We must never forget him and cherish those close to us.
Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences can be sent to the family by using the form below.
