It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Danny Leeson, age 37, of Circle, MT on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at McCone County Heath Center in Circle after a long and courageous battle with a rare form of leukemia.
Danny was born January 23, 1973 in Lancaster, California to Dan Leeson and Sherry Lucas. Danny grew up and attended school in Lancaster, California. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for six years. Danny found peace and a place of belonging when the family relocated from California to the town of Circle in 2008. Danny easily integrated into the community and knew he and his family had found the community they had been searching for to raise their family.
Danny met the love of his life, Tammy, in 2002. They married and happily combined a family that rivaled the Brady Bunch. Danny is survived by his wife, Tammy of Circle; 3 daughters, Amanda Leeson of Circle, Kristen Leeson of Tehachapi, CA and Ashlee Leeson of Circle; 2 sons, Brendon Leeson of Tehachapi and Chris Leeson of Circle; his parents, Jeff and Sherry Lucas of Circle and Dan and Carmen Leeson of Tehachapi; along with his friends and family back in California and his wonderful new found family in the town of Circle.
Danny was devoted to his family and cherished every moment spent with his children. He was their hero.
Danny’s strength and courage were unmatched and was an inspiration to many. He refused to give up his battle against leukemia. Even when weakened by pain, his focus remained on his family. There are no words to describe just how much Danny will be missed. He will be missed every single day by all of those who knew and loved him.
The family wishes to express their profound gratitude to the many wonderful residents of Circle who rallied and supported the family while on the journey to help Danny fight the battle against leukemia. The support, kindness, food, kind words, prayers, and gifts will never be forgotten. The family also wishes to recognize and thank the many gifted and thoughtful doctors, nurses, and hospitals involved in Danny’s care. These professionals never gave up hope and always strived to ensure that Danny received the best care available.
Cremation has taken place as requested by Danny. A memorial service with military honors will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 30, at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Circle.
