Darla Jean Belgarde-Spotted Wolf, age 51, left this world to finally lay to rest on April 25, 2015.
Darla was born on December 7, 1963 to Dewayne Ernest and Darlene Belgarde in Chicago Illinois. She later made her home in Brockton until the day she left. Darla loved her children dearly; she also had a few adopted daughters whom she loved as her own. She had the most joyous moment in her life when she got to see her son take Class C tourney champs in 2004. The next joyous time was when she started to become grandmother to 13.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, designing and making star quilts, bingo, playing machines, and listening to oldies. She had one special granddaughter that became her own. She raised Tiana Marie Crowe Lone Fight. Darla attended Brockton Schools, received her GED in 1996, and just became a caregiver to all ages of kids.
She is survived by daughters Cara Beth Fast Horse, Tosheena Rae Crowe and Derris; she is survived by sons Jarid (Mallory) Fast Horse and Stanley (Felisha) Bo Crowe, Jr., all of Brockton. She is survived by step daughters Stanette Crowe, adopted daughters Stephanie Greybull and Sherri DeMarrias, adopted son Brooks Rattling Thunder. Darla is survived by grandchildren Kayleigh London, JazzMarie Renee, WandaLou Dawn, Jarid Dewayne, Jr., Preston Lee, and Phillip Bon Fast Horse, , Wayde Stanlee and Amy Lyn Longtree, Tiana Crowe, Deacon and Daryn Eagleman, Abby and Emily Meyers, Joslyn Klause, and Kloe Jean Greybull, Mylan, Ameah, and Laura Wetsit.
She is survived by her aunts Judy Johnson, Rae Jean Belgarde, Donna Conklin, Elly and Carrie Burshia, and grandma Maryanne Rescette.
Darla is survived by her uncles Kermit Belgarde, Wade White Body, Donald Lone Fight, Paul Fox, Elgen White Body; her cousins whom she loved with all her heart: Noreen Lone Bear, Melissa Rattling Thunder, Eugene Belgarde, Olivia Johnson, Terrence Johnson and B.J. Johnson, Myrna Walking Eagle, Wayne Little Crowe, Raymond “Ole” Greybull, Farrell Greybull, her sister and brother Brenda and Bryan Bauer and her extended family in Newtown and Mandaree, North Dakota. She would like to remember her lovin cuzin Karla Ricker and all family too numerous to remember.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dewayne and Darlene Belgarde, her brothers Curtis Belgarde and Byron Bauer, her grandparents Rita Red Eagle and Ernest Belgarde, Lavina Rescette, Jack Lone Fight, auntie Corliss Grady and a favorite cousin Rodney Todd. She was preceded by Carrie, Theresa Blum, Frank Lone Fight, Clara Smoker, Gerald Lone Fight, Karlene and Kenny Spotted Bird, and Ira Greybull .
She had a lot of nieces and nephews but these two had her heart: Terrille Rattling Thunder andNathan Lone Bear.
A prayer service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Brockton Cultural Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brockton Cultural Center.
