David Greufe, 55, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer Monday morning, Sept 14, 2009 at the Trinity Hospital in Wolf Point. David was born to Walter and Hazel Greufe in Great Falls on June 15, 1954. He was raised in Wolf Point, graduating from High School in 1972. He then attended college for a couple of years.
In 1974 he started working at the Trinity Hospital in Wolf Point as an orderly. Discovering that he liked this line of work Dave worked at advancing himself in the field of health care. At various times he worked as a nursing assistant, in respiratory therapy, as a limited permit x-ray technician, and as an EMT. He received his nursing degree in May of 1996 and then worked at the Trinity Hospital in Wolf Point as an RN until the time of his death. He was well known for the care he gave his patients.
He was preceded in death by his both his parents. Survivors include two brothers, Larry of Wolf Point and Dennis (Debbie) of Parker, CO; sister Michelle (Chuck) McAlister of Centennial, CO; two nephews, Aaron Greufe of Fort Collins, CO. and Kyle Greufe presently in the Peace Corps in Costa Rica; and four nieces, Jennifer Wilson of Dallas, TX, and Jessica, Sabrina, and Rachel McAlister of Centennial, CO.
A Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2009 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. His Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 22 also at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wolf Point.
