Debra Wright

May 4, 1953 — September 9, 2021

Debra Lynn Bauer, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, was born May 4, 1953 in Poplar, MT to Joseph Bauer and Leah Funk Bauer. She was the 7 th child out of 10 children. She grew up in Oswego with her siblings and attended Frazer Schools, where she met her high school sweetheart, Huber Wright. They both graduated in Spring of 1972. They were married October 6, 1973. A year later they welcomed daughter Christine Nickole in 1974 and Sondra Lee in 1978. Her only grandchild Lena Nickolle came into her world in September of 1994. She was very close to her granddaughter, they visited everyday over the phone. Debra was passionate about education and learning. She enrolled in many different college classes at FPCC ranging in all subjects, but she especially enjoyed science; where she met her dear friend, Christine Holler-Dinsmore. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Rocky Mountain College in Billings.

Debbie was a teacher at the Frazer Schools for 9 years, first teaching 3 rd grade, 5 th grade, and lastly 2 nd grade. She was always so creative in everything she did and always had her classrooms decorated for every occasion. After retiring from teaching, she had a lot of hobbies she continued to do to keep her busy. She was always working on new arts and crafts, and she loved to bake. She was always trying new recipes. Her favorite hobby was working out in her yard, she was always tending to new flowers she planted and was forever switching up the style of her yard.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sondra Wright-Keller; parents, Leah and Joseph Bauer; sisters, Barbara, Joyce, and Joanne; brothers, Samuel and Edward; nephews, Joe Bauer, Kenny, Wade, and Jeff Todd; and niece, Kayla Rae White.

She is survived by her husband, Huber Wright; daughter, Christine (David) of Oswego; granddaughter, Lena (Dalton) of Bozeman, MT; sisters, Judy (Dana) of Oswego, Kay of Billings, MT, Patricia (George) of Nashua, MT; brother, Joe (Linda) of Yupica, CA; and sister-in-law, Sue Bauer of Oswego; and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Debbie was a very giving, loving, strong, hard-working woman. She would do anything she could to help her loved ones and anyone in need. We will miss her dearly.
