Don’t cry because Big D from Wounded Knee will always be there to make you smile…
“Who here has a smile for Big D from Wounded Knee?” Aye, I’m just joking.
Delano John Clancy was born into this world to Mary Fern Clancy and Emil Laverdure. After their passing he was raised by his grandmothers, LoRaine Track and Esther King whom he loved very much. He was raised like a warrior, because he always took care of his family when it came time. “As long as we all had shells and cheese.” Delano was one of a kind that touched our spirits and he always helped out anyone that ever needed anything even if he did not have the money, he would put his hands together and say “let’s hustle” and give that person what they needed even of he didn’t eat that day. He always put others before himself, he had many numerous friends and family that he always checked on. He had a good sense of humor and a big heart full of love.
As the years went by he later moved in with Jonny Laverdure and Daniel “Sissy” Laverdure. He later met Elisha TalksDifferent, from this union they had Lori Ann TalksDiffernt and Seth Emil Laverdure. He later met Terry Linville and had their daughter Lamika, whom he always called “kittens”.
Delano John Clancy will forever be dancing in our hearts. He would say smile because it’s not the end, I will see you again.
He is predeceased by his mother and father, Mary Fern Clancy and Emil Laverdure.
He is survived by his children, Lori (Ryan), Seth and Lamika; uncle John Laverdure, Erica, Sandy, Megan; sisters Theresa Beecher, Reese Beecher. Uncle Steve Lilley and cousins Miles and Congo.
