Delphine Lone Bear, age 46 of Brockton, MT left to be with the Lord in heaven on Thursday, 26th of July, 2012 in Poplar, MT. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends.
Delphine was born on September 3rd, 1965 to Irene Martin Philbrick and Adelbert Lone Bear, Sr. in Stanley, ND. She took Nelson “Bud” Philbrick as her adopted Dad. She grew up in Newtown, ND, Glasgow, MT, and Brockton, MT. She worked as a cashier at the B&S Quick Stop in Brockton, MT, Tribal Express and TJ’s Quick Stop in Poplar, MT. She loved being around her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed root digging, reading, fixing puzzles, and visiting family and friends. She loved traveling with her mother and adopted father. She enjoyed family get togethers and powwows. She loved decorating her house and yard, and going to rummage sales. She loved her grandchildren very dearly and would do anything for them. She loved to go to concerts with her brother Henry and sister-in-law Noreen.
Delphine met Eugene “Yogi” Bird early in her life. From this union the four kids were born. Delphine is survived by her children, Angela Bird, Reede Lone Bear, and Samuel Bird of Brockton, MT and Kimberly Bird (Michael Gray) of Poplar, MT; grandchildren, Kaydence Headdress, and Karmen Headdress of Poplar, MT; mother, Irene (Nelson “Bud”) Philbrick of Brockton, MT; sisters, Karen (Craig) Cain of Poplar, MT, and Patricia (Rodney) Todd of Brockton, MT; brothers, Adelbert Lone Bear, Jr, Marty Lone Bear Sr., Gerald “Pinky” (Patty) Lone Bear all of Poplar, MT, and Darryl (Noreen) Lone Bear of Brockton, MT; uncle, Victor (Margret) Fast Horse of Billings, MT; aunt, Gloria (Arlie) Diserly; nephews, Gary Lone Bear, Ian Lone Bear, Luke Lone Bear, Alex Lone Bear, Marshall Cain, Nathan Lone Bear, Marty Lone Bear, Jr., and Mathew James; nieces, Jamie Lone Bear, Irene Lone Bear, Coleen Cain, Mandy Berwick, Michelle Lone Bear, Cristy Lone Bear, Jana Lone Bear, Nicole Lone Bear, Denise Fast Horse, Janet Lone Bear, Breanne Lone Bear, and JaSara and Iva Todd; along with numerous other nieces , nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and family relatives from Fort Berthold, Standing Rock and Fort Belknap.
Delphine was preceded in death by her father, Adelbert Lone Bear, Sr.; brother, Max Lone Bear; sisters, Joan Fast Horse, Roberta Lone Bear; nieces, Cricket Lone Bear, Bernadine Fast Horse; nephew, Jeremy Lone Bear; grandmother, Julia Ireland Fast Horse; uncles, Fred Gunn, Lester Lone Bear, Austin Lone Bear, Benjamin Lone Bear, Thomas Martin, and Jasper Martin; aunts, Alline Lone Bear, Naomi Foolish Bear, and Cecelia Martin.

Delphine was a beloved mother; grandmother, daughter and sister, she will be greatly missed. We love you Mom. Rest In Peace.
A Family Service will be held Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Brockton Cultural Center. A Funeral Service will be held Monday July 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Brockton Cultural Center in Brockton, burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point.
