Donald R. Weinberger III, Makpiya Pe’ta Ma’ni (Walking Fire Cloud) age 43, went home to be with the Lord on may 3, 2015 at Billings Clinic, Billings, MT. Donald was born to the late Rena Eagle and Donald (Babes) Weinberger, Jr. on June 24, 1971 in Poplar, MT. Donald was raised by his mother Rena and his step father Edwin.
Donald was raised in Poplar and went to school from Head start to high school. He graduated from high school in 1989 and after graduation he went firefighting and worked for the Fort peck Housing authority, for Director Moose lambert, from which a bond of friendship formed. He went to Sage Truck Driving School in Billings, MT from where he graduated. He began working for Frank Gourneau for about 5 years, then he went to work for Riverside Construction from Missoula, MT and worked fro them for 12 years, until he developed health problems. Although he was sick, that did not stop him from working or providing for his family, whom he loved very much. He met and married the love of his life, Waynette Boyd Weinberger and from this union three children were born.
During dialysis treatment Donny went back to work for Frank Gourneau up until his passing.
Donald is survived by his wife Waynette of Poplar, his four children, Marshelle (Myron) Weinberger, of Minot, ND, only son Donald R. Weinberger IV, daughters Hannah Weinberger and Gabrielle Weinberger of Poplar, a granddaughter Neveha Houle of Minot, ND-whom he loved, adored and help raise. He is also survived by his dad Donald (Babes) Weinberger, Jr.; step father Edwin Chaser of Poplar; brothers Chuck and Cody Weinberger of Poplar; aunts Iris page of Dunseith, ND, Marion Plenty Hawk, Loretta Eagle, Martha Eagle,Vanette and Vanessa Eagle and Eunice Jones all of Poplar, Sally Uherka of Crocker, Missouri, Nellie Weinberger of Denver, CO; uncles Paul St. Germaine of Hardin, MT, Kenneth (Judy) Eagle of Cottondale, AL, Ronald (Jumbo) Eagle of Poplar and Harold Eagle of Grand Junction, CO. Donny is also survived by a loving mother-in-law, Dolly Boyd; grandparents John and Rose Morsette whom he loved like a mother; grandmothers Gloria Chopper, Pearl Hopkins, Elouise Ell and Mayme Dupree all of Poplar. Other extended family Boyd’s, Walking Eagles, Ricker’s, Dupree’s, Daniel’s, Kirn’s, Buckles, Bighorn’s and Yellow Owls.
Donald is preceded in death by his mother, Rena Eagle, a baby brother, grandparents, Kenneth and Hazel Eagle, grandmother Winona Weinberger, uncles Cob Weinberger, Saby Weinberger, Orville Weinberger, father-in-law Rev. Wayne A. Boyd, Sr. and brother-in-law Joseph O. Boyd.
