Edna Marie Loves Him, age 35, of Poplar, was called home on November 10, 2014 at the Billings Clinic in Billings, MT. Edna was born on December 23, 1978 in Poplar, MT to Evelyn Loves Him-Scott and Henry White Owl. She was best known as “Pooh Bear”.
Edna attended and graduated Poplar Schools. She worked as a substitute teacher at the Poplar schools. She also worked at the Jungle Gym daycare, she enjoyed being around children. She loved spending time with and taking care of her sons, nephews and niece.
Edna enjoyed teasing around with family and friends, putting puzzles together, fishing, cruising around, visiting, listening to music, watching powwows, hand stitching star quilts, beading and she was always willing to help those in need. Edna also loved decorating her house for the seasons.
Edna is survived by her two sons, Michael Loves Him and Landyn Burshia and her favorite nephews she helped raise, Walter and Willard Loves Him and Elwayne Rush Jr. of Poplar; grandmothers Estelle and Lavern Loves Him of Poplar; step-dad Robert Eder Sr. of poplar; adopted parents Maureen and Brad Gray Hawk of Poplar; sisters Joilynn Loves Him, Katie Eagle of Poplar, brother Emery Loves Him of Poplar; aunts Carmela and Madelyn Scott of Poplar, Annabelle Scott of Portland, OR, Verla and Vonkay Loves Him of San Jose, CA, favorite uncles Matthew Scott Sr. and Duane Little Plume of Poplar, uncle Vaughden Loves Him of San Jose, CA; special cousin Deona Scott, cousins Amber Calf Tail, Luke Scott, Diane, Orvella, Shilow, and Mason McKay, Allen Red Boy, Christina Lona of Phoenix, AZ, Frank and Pearl Scott of Portland, OR and Andrew Scott of Utah; nephews Carlo Carrillo, Ambrose McKay, Abraham and Fernando Lona; nieces Krystallyne Calf Tail of Hysham, Khloe Martell, Kimimela and Ailayah Scott; adopted brothers and sisters, Robert Eder Jr. (Laurie), Bradley Gray Hawk Jr., Windy, Jared, Tracey and Elisha Gray Hawk, Marie, Mavis and Jr. Drastz all of Poplar. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Edna is preceded in death by her Mother Evelyn Loves Him-Scott, Father Henry White Owl, Uncle Byron Scott; aunts Lavina and Annette Scott; great-grand parents Wilbur and Amelia Loves Him; grandfathers Orville and Stephen Loves Him; grandmothers Madline and Rebecca Loves Him; cousins Geraldine and Annette Scott.
A wake will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Poplar Activity Center, Poplar, Montana. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Poplar Activity Center, Poplar, Montana. Interment St. Anne Cemetery, Poplar, Montana.
