Eva Crowe Youngman, age 37, of Poplar, MT went home to be with the Lord October 1, 2008 at Poplar Community Hospital.
Eva was born July 12, 1971 to DeWayne and Donna Youngman of Poplar and the granddaughter of the late Sarah Crowe and Great-Granddaughter of the late Chief Santee Iron Ring. She grew up and attended schools at Wahpeton Indian School in ND and Flandreau Indian School in SD.
Eva enjoyed spending time with friends and helping family when needed. She was known for her laughter and making other people laugh.
Eva is survived by five children, Danna Youngman, Sarah See Walker, Theodore Youngman, Deanna Red Eagle and Francis Crowe Youngman, all of Poplar; two grandsons, Sunny Sky Yellow Hawk and Taylor James Youngman, both of Poplar; one sister, Ladonna Youngman of Poplar; one brother, Levi Crowe Youngman of Poplar; her Grandmas, Evadna Running Bear, Rita Longchase and Florence Eagleman, all of Poplar; two Grandpas, Mike Youngman and Nelson Crowe, both of Poplar; many Aunties, Eloise, Izzy, Delores, Wilma, Donna Youngman, all of Poplar and Marilyn, Cindy and Shari Thompson of St. Michaels, ND; three Uncles, Douglas Youngman, Jr. and Cyril Iron Ring of Poplar, and Calvin Thompson of St. Michaels, ND.
Eva is preceded in death by her longtime mate, Harvey Red Eagle; Grandparents Ambrose and Mary Louise Thompson; and one uncle she treasured and was close to, Thomas Youngman, Sr.
A Wake will be held Sunday, October 5, 2008 at the Poplar Cultural Center with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2008 at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will follow at Poplar City Cemetery.
