Ezekiel Paul Zimmer passed away on June 21, 2023 in Wolf Point, Montana.
Ezekiel was born on August 29, 2000 in Glasgow, MT to Loren and Denise (Wetsit) Zimmer. He lived in Wolf Point all his life and everyone knew him as Zeke. He attended Frontier Elementary and Wolf Point High School graduating in 2019.
Zeke was the youngest of nine brothers and sisters, growing up on the family farm east of Wolf Point. Even at a very young age, he liked helping around the farm and feeding the cows, pigs, and chickens with his dad and brothers. Zeke enjoyed fishing with his friends, playing sports from wrestling in AAU to baseball, basketball, and football. He loved them all especially the time spent with his teammates. Zeke was a big New York Yankee fan and also a New York Giants football fan.
Zeke was determined to keep up with all his older brothers, especially Dillon. His sisters enjoyed his sense of humor and endured his teasing. He had a very close relationship with his sister, Elizabeth. Zeke spent a lot of time with his Grandma Elvira and Grandma Dorothy. They doted on him and he held a special place in their hearts.
Zeke was preceded in death by his mother, Denise, and his brother, Elijah; his grandmother, Elvira Mahto; his grandfathers, Leo Zimmer and George “Bootsie” Wetsit; his aunts, Jan Zimmer-Breitenfeldt, Laurette Wetsit and Joan Wetsit; his uncles, Dennis Mahto, David Wetsit, and George “Buff” Wetsit.
Zeke is survived by his father, Loren Zimmer; his grandmother, Dorothy Zimmer; sisters, Kirsten Cantrell, Precious Wetsit, Rheanna Wetsit, and his favorite Elizabeth Zimmer; brothers, Jesse Wetsit, Dalton Wetsit, and Dillon Wetsit. His very special niece, Azalei Ackerman and special nephews, Lydell Ackerman, and Phoenix Grandchamp. Also, numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, grandpas, and grandmas from his extended Mahto, Wetsit, Zimmer, and Baldry families. Please forgive us if we forgot to mention anyone as our families are extensive and Zeke was loved by all who knew him. He was everybody’s friend.
