Frank Alan Red Eagle Sr. was born on September 24, 1949 to Sterling Red Eagle and Mayme Lola Red Feather-Red Eagle. He went to school in Oklahoma and Poplar, Montana. Frank went home to the Lord on November 25, 2020 at the Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana. Frank had a visitation of angels and at that time told Mary to keep going to church and look to Jesus.
He met the love of his life Mary Lynn Ricker and together were married at the Pentacostal church in Poplar by Evangelist Joe Bullcalf from Browning, Montana.
Frank loved to sing and play guitar, worshipping at home and church. Frank and Mary would sing at church every Sunday. He read his bible each day, always wanting to draw close to the Lord.
Frank worked at A&S Industries for 7 years. He was the maintenance man at Headstart for over 25 years. Upon his retirement, he received a starquilt and a money award for his dedication to the Fort Peck Tribes.
Frank is survived by his wife, Mary and daughter, Lori Red Eagle; siblings Mary Pauline Boxer, Rose Longee, Vern Red Eagle, Robert Red Eagle, Myron Red Eagle Sr., and baby brother Lawerance Red Eagle; many nieces and nephews; one aunt Gloria (Robert) Garcia of San Jose, California; two uncles, Arnold Eagleboy, and Art Greybull.
He is preceded in death by his son Frank Red Eagle III; his brothers, Sterling Red Eagle Sr., Timothy Red Eagle Sr., Dale Red Eagle, and Curtis Red Eagle Sr.; parents, Sterling and Mayme Red Eagle; grandparents, Elmer and Mary Red Eagle, and Rose No Breast Eagleboy.
Relatives include the Iron Bear, Lezard, Ogle, Red Eagle, and Douglas families. If we have left anyone out, it is not intentional. Frank comes from a large family.
Frank, until the trumpet sounds, rest in the comfort of Jesus Christ, Amen.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar, Montana. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar, Montana. Interment to follow at Poplar City Cemetery.
