Frankie Comacho Toves Sr.

December 25, 1956 — August 28, 2009

Frankie Camacho Toves passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 after a long difficult battle with Cancer. He was born on December 25, 1956 in Yona, Guam to Lydia and Francisco Toves. He joined the U.S. Army in 1976 where he met his beloved wife Barbara and were married on November 17, 1979 in Dillon, South Carolina and together they had 3 children, Nicole (Coco), Frankie Jr. and Leland. Frankie continued to serve in the United States Army and retired as a Sergeant First Class on July 30, 1998 with an Honorable Discharge. Frankie received numerous Army Commendation Medals and recommendations for his service. He moved to Wolf Point in 1994 and has worked at various locations until he joined the Wolf Point Police Department and became the Wolf Point High School Resource Officer which he enjoyed immensely. It brought him great joy to work and help the young people in the community. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and served with Montana Army National Guard.

Frankie enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and spending time with his friends. He attended Fort Peck Community College and received an Associate of Science Degree in Computer Technology.

He is preceded in death by his father, Francisco Toves.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Toves, daughter Nicole (Dhareen) Villaluz of Minneapolis, MN; sons Frankie Toves Jr. of Ft. Carson, CO and Leland Toves of Wolf Point, MT., his grandchildren Dominique Kaholo and Kailayla Toves-Villaluz of Minnesota and Kaleah Grace Miller-Toves of Wolf Point. His mother Lydia Reyes Toves of Yona, Guam and siblings: Peter (Barbara) of Yona, Therese (Joe) Manibusan of Yona, Agnes (Anthony) Manila of Yona, Alvin Toves of Yona, Bernice (Jess) Duenas of Ordot, Ronald (Lynn) Toves of Harmon, Aileen (Jesus) Alvarado of Oak Harbor, WA; Patrick (Agnes) of Yona, and Robert (Ann) of Yona, Guam.

Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2009 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel, Wolf Point. Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. September 1, 2009 at Wolf Point High School Gymnasium officiated by Father Anselm Ofodum and Jeff Harada. His body will then be transported to Guam where he will be laid to rest next to his father Francisco Toves.
