Frieda Lentzner, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point, MT.
Psalms 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and my shield: my heart trusted in him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”
Frieda was born July 14, 1923. She grew up in Larslan, Montana, where she did farm work on her father’s farm as a young person. She had Bible school and went to Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas during her school years. She played piano and organ for church and singing groups all of her life, over 70 years. She hand crafted many items in her life, things like towels, pot holders, hot pads, slippers, scarves, caps, too many to mention. She also did many oil paintings and drawings in her lifetime too. She worked at Service Soft in Wolf Point for many years and also at Frontier Elementary School for many years too. She loved her apartment in Wolf Point and when she couldn’t take care of it anymore, she moved into the Faith Lutheran Home. The one thing that people remember about her, she was always walking somewhere and they would stop to talk with her, she developed many friendships through her walking.
Frieda is preceded in death by her parents William and Agatha Lentzner; a brother Adolph Lentzner; sisters Annie Kroeker, Alvina Gaub and Rosella Dick.
She is survived by her sister Lydia Dueck of Denver, CO.
Our remembrance of Frieda is that she knew the Lord and she was a prayer warrior. Her favorite Bible verse, I Peter 5:17, “Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you.”
