Harold Edwin Bear, age 51, of Wolf Point, MT passed away November 8, 2009 in Wolf Point.
Harold was born January 1, 1958 in Wolf Point to Harold Gleed and Audrey Bear. He attained his GED in St. Paul, MN and attended Duluth College studying psychology.
Harold lived in Hawaii for seven years and loved it. He lived in St. Paul, MN for eight years and Aberdeen, WA five years. Harold was actively involved in street ministry in Aberdeen and helped build homes for the church.
Harold worked construction, carpentry, home repair and also worked as a longshoreman in Alaska.
He loved fishing, chess, dominoes, pinochle, crossword puzzles and camping.
Harold lived in many places and made a lot of friends. His favorite place was Hawaii. He was very, very intelligent and advanced in his learning….he was very knowledgeable about many things. Harold was a very wise and loving father and always had advice and words of encouragement. He was the best papa to all his grandchildren.
Harold is preceded in death by his Grandmother Edith Hubbard, Grandfather Leonard Hubbard, Cousins John Bear, William Williams, Dennis Welch, Laura Romero, Rosey Welch, James Kermitt Brock Sr., and Ronald Henry Williams Jr., and Aunts Ruth Brock and Beatrice Welch.
Harold is survived by his mother Audrey Bear of Browning, MT; father Harold Gleed of Frazer, MT; daughters Patricia and Starla Bear of Wolf Point; grandchildren Rae’Anna and Dai’Jon Hohman, Rosalie Bear, Meleah, Sariah and Ronaleen Benally, Haleena and Aleigha Bear, all of Wolf Point; uncle Max Bear of Wolf Point; aunts Margaret Mathais of Great Falls, Almeta Boxer of St. Paul, MN and Iva Dean of New Town, ND; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Prayer Service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the Wolf Point Community Hall. Funeral Service is 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2009 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel, Wolf Point with Interment immediately following at Chelsea Cemetery.
