Harold Joseph Eggebrecht, age 87, of Wolf Point, MT went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point.
Harold was born July 2, 1922 to Frank & Caroline Eggebrecht of Vida, MT. He attended school at Vida until the 8th grade. Farming was his life until he retired.
Harold met Margaret Gagne while working for her parents. They married November 18, 1942. To this union they had seven children.
Harold loved farming and gardening, especially growing his big ol’ potatoes. Fishing, hunting and spend time with his family and grandkids were a favorite past time. He was a member of the Elks Club, Knights of Columbus and Immaculate Conception Church.
Harold is survived by his wife, Margaret of Wolf Point; children, Audrey (Ted) Leuenberger of Vida, Theresa (John) Anderson of Boise, ID, Doug (Milly) Eggebrecht of Wolf Point, Alice Swoboda of Wolf Point, Connie (Art) Weyrauch of Wolf Point, Sharon (Mitch) Shirk of Sidney, MT; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Helen) Eggebrecht of Wolf Point and Eugene Eggebrecht of Billings, MT. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Elaine Brockmeyer, grandson Jacob Weyrauch, brother Ralph Eggebrecht, and sisters Ann Daugherty and Martha Hoffman.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 21 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel, Wolf Point starting at 6:30 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 22 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wolf Point. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wolf Point.
