Irene (Georgia) Ersness, age 89, passed away October 3, 2015 at the Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point.
Georgia graduated from Plentywood High School and began her working career at the bank in Reserve. She then moved to Helena and worked at a bank there relishing the time she lived at the Y. She married Calmer Ersness on December 29, 1950 and they started their lives together in Scobey, moving to Wolf Point in 1954.
Georgia and Calmer had three sons, Calmer, Jr., Corwin, and John. Georgia worked as an office manager for the Department of Highways, secretary at the 1 st Presbyterian Church, and she worked at the Production Credit Association. She was a member of the 1 st Presbyterian Church and Order of Eastern Star.
In her lifetime Georgia enjoyed painting, sewing, quilting, and being with cherished friends at the cabin in Fort Peck.
Georgia is survived by her sons Calmer, Jr., Corwin, and John. She is survived by one granddaughter Jill and three great grandchildren, Logan, Colby, and Kaylee. Georgia is survived by her only living sibling, her brother Ken Domonoski.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Calmer Ersness, Sr. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donn and Roy and her sisters Pat and Carol.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Entombment in the Plentywood Mausoleum will follow later in the afternoon. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point has been entrusted with arrangements.
