Irene Roberta Runs Through was born October 3, 1944 in Wiota, Valley County, MT. Her father was Raleigh Andrew Fourstar. Her mother was Gae Camp Fourstar Mathews. She was the granddaughter of Fred Fourstar and Lodgepole on her father’s side and the granddaughter of Peter Camp and Lillie Bighead from her mother’s side.
Irene left her loved ones behind on May 3, 2009 from the Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point, MT.
Irene attended school at Frazer Schools, where she met her husband, Marvin Mason Evan Runs Through. They were married on April 11, 1959 in Wolf Point, Roosevelt, MT.
Irene is survived by her husband, Mason of Frazer, her daughters, Phyllis Ann Spotted Wolf of Saint George, Utah, Rose Lee Runs Through of Frazer, and her sons, Vincent Wayne, Adam Wade, and Matthew Dale of Frazer, Mason Jr. (Jamie) of Lake Forest, CA, Anthony Carl of Billings, MT, and Eldon Gene (Leah) of Polson, MT.
Irene loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jonah (Ethan, Asya), Kristy (Ashton), Ailene (Brianna), Sean (Dalton), Leita (Luis), Amy, Judea, Mason III, Samuel, Joseph, Benjamin, Tashiyapoba “Bobo”, Naji, Katrina (Tekao, Maliyah), Robert Jr. (Robert III, Kylee), Marcus, Aulora (Justin Jr.), Lucas, Eldon Jr. (Eldon III, Arianna), Randall (KeRenza), Langley, and Wylie.
Irene is also survived by her sisters, Shirlene (Harold) Gleed of Frazer, MT, Arlene Jackson of Wolf Point, MT, and Ruby (Wallace) Runs Through of Wolf Point, MT, and her brothers, Dallas Fourstar of Wolf Point, MT, and Andrew Fourstar of Frazer, MT.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents Raleigh, Gae, and step-father, Peter Mathews, her sisters, Ernestine Jackson, Norma Plante, Darlene Gray, and Bertha Sharp, and her brothers, Clair Fourstar, Sr., and Willie Sharp, Sr.
Evening services will be Wednesday May 6, 2009, 6pm to 9pm at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 1pm at the Wolf Point LDS Chapel with President Joseph Pilgrim officiating. Internment will be at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Frazer, MT.
