Iris “Oosh” Campbell

November 5, 1963 — March 27, 2022

Iris was born on November 5, 1963. She left this world suddenly on March 27, 2022. Iris attended school in Wolf Point and Issaguely, WA. She attended high school in Brigham City, UT, graduating in 1982. She pre-enlisted in the United States Air Force completing basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. She returned to Montana only to enroll in college at Haskell Indian College in Lawrence, KS. She then returned to Wolf Point where she began her employment with A&S Industries as a Supervisor and worked there for 9 years until the plant shut down. She attended FRCC and bartended until 1993, and seismography. She then began work for the Fort Peck Tribes as a detention officer for the next 13 years. She worked odd jobs from then on.

Iris met Dale Wilson and had two treasured sons; Joseph Warren and James Francis. She then met Rodney Adams and had her third treasured son, Jared Duane.

Iris loved life. She was a caring mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. Her quick wit and innate ability to find humor in most life circumstances kept people rolling in laughter. She loved all sports especially basketball and softball both of which she excelled. She could fix anything in her own way which usually required some duct tape. She was very creative and showered her family and friends with celebration events that she would go above and beyond for. She was also half detective often solving our reservation mysteries on her own. Irisoosh had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off her back. She loved dogs and had a special place in her heart for Uppie, Toshee and Scout.

Iris is preceded in death by her grandmother Amy Redstone Hoenck; mother Darlene Campbell; uncle Robert Hoenck; aunt Mavis Martell and sister Lisa. She is also preceded in death by the lights of her life, sons Joseph and Jared.

Iris is survived by her son James; grandson Jaidon; brothers David (Leigh) Campbell, Steven (Beth) Campbell  and their daughter Emily and Duane (Frewinni) Love; sister Jennifer and special niece Antoinette Sansaver and her son Chase Thomas Jackson, niece Linzi Tollefson; special nephew Fred Campbell and cousin Renee Babcock; aunts Karen Babcock and Iris (Billy) Balbinot; uncles Wayne and Gary Martell, her nieces, nephews and many special cousins. She also leaves behind her dogs Scout and Toshee. Extended families: Redstones, Adams, Campbells, Blackdogs, Finnicums, Bighorns. She leaves behind many childhood friends who will miss her always but will keep her memory alive. She leaves behind a multitude of friends she made in her lifetime who all held a special place in her heart as well.
