Iris St. Germaine-Page, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, September 7, 2018. The angels woke her up and said “Are you ready to meet the master?”
She was born October 5, 1940 to Paul St. Germaine Sr. and Hazel Dupree St. Germaine. To this union Iris had a brother Paul St. Germaine Jr.; her mother remarried and Iris was blessed with more sisters and brothers. Iris was the oldest girl and helped raise her younger siblings.
Iris moved to Dunseith, North Dakota and lived there for over 50 years. Her heart was in Dunseith. She learned to talk a little “North Dakotani”. Iris married Frank St. Claire in the early 70s. He passed away. Iris married Andy Fred Page on August 28, 1987. Andy Passed away in September 2011.
Iris had a gift and talent on the sewing machine. She made hundreds of patch quilts which she gave away to family and friends. Iris was a smart woman with a big heart. Iris also loved to bake for her grandchildren, especially banana bread. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing cards.
Iris has 3 children surviving her, Cory St. Claire, Phyllis Herman and Alma Morin; along with grandchildren, Janell, Jared, Patrick, Rochanda, Chad, and Shilo; 22 great grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild, they were very special to her and will always be special. Also surviving is an aunt, Rose and John Morsetta. She also leaves behind her brother Paul and wife, Jean from Hardin, MT; sister, Sally Uherka from Crocker, Missouri, Marion Plenty Hawk of Poplar (whom she was very close with); brothers, Ken and Judy Eagle from Alabama, sisters, Venessa, Venetta, Loretta, Martha Eagle; and younger brothers, Jumbo and Harold all of Poplar; along with the Dupree family, Ricker family, St. Germaine family, Eagle family, Page family, Daniels Family, and best friends, Beatrice Delorme, Shirley Belgardo, Susy Dakota.
Preceding Iris in death is her husband, Andy Fred Page; father, Paul St. Germaine Sr.; mother, Hazel Dupree Eagle; sister, Rena Eagle Chaser; grandchildren, Jocelyn and Kevin; nephews, Donnie Weinberger, Leonard Eagle, Lynn BirthMark Jr.
A prayer service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 11 at the Assembly of God Church in Poplar. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 12 at the Assembly of God Church in Poplar with Pastor Jay Cummins officiating. Interment will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery where she will be laid to rest by her mother, Hazel Eagle, which she requested. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
