Our smart, special, loving, caring, wild and crazy, sweet, unique, genuine, brave, handsome son J-Me Leighton Red Eagle was born on October 13, 1996 and passed away on July 2, 2016, in Poplar, Montana.
He lived with his mother and his Grandpa Joe until August of 2007 when his Grandpa went home to be with the Lord. J-Me was his Grandpa Joe’s best buddy, his pride and joy. Grandpa Joe helped raise J-Me and was so proud of him. As a young boy J-Me enjoyed traveling to pool tournaments that his Grandpa played in. He also loved going fishing as well as going hunting with Grandpa Joe and Uncle Sheldon Youpee.
After he learned how to ride a bike he and his dad would ride around by the river and skip rocks. They liked to hang out at Busy Bee’s, playing pool and video games. He looked forward to going to bingo with his mother since they were usually inseparable.
J-Me looked up to his cousin Jim Youpee because he is a Marine and an excellent role model. One of J-Me’s goals in life was to join the military.
He liked looking for and collecting old coins, playing keno machines and cruising all night long with his dad, drifting any car he drove during the winter time, bingo, scratch cards, cruising, chillin’, jammin’, hittin’ it, and admiring the chics, facebook, drawing and sketching, swimming, golfing, spending time with his mom, J-Me especially loved hanging out with his brother Vern “Grandson”.
J-Me’s favorite foods were his Aunt Angeline’s taco salad and grape salad and of course flamin’ hot Cheetos and power ade. His favorite bike a Ducati 999R and his favorite ride a Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. Anyone that knew J-Me knew that he loved the color red.

Great grandparents Lester “Jim” Youpee and Jeannette Cloud Youpee, Sonny Burshia and Minnie Rough.
J-Me had a very large extended family including Youpee’s, Red Boy’s, Little Head’s, Black Dog’s, Young’s, Cloud’s, Dupree’s, and Iron Cloud’s. If we have left anybody off we apologize.

A wake will be held on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 7pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 11am at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will be at the Poplar City Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
