Jared Michael Bowman, age 18, of Wolf Point, MT, formerly of Dallas, OR, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009 near Brockton, MT from an auto accident.
Jared was born October 16, 1990 in Salem OR to Michael and Janice (Davison) Bowman. He attended homeschool with his brothers and sisters. Jared lived in Dallas, OR until moving to the Wolf Point community in 2006. For the past year and a half he was employed by Agri Industries of Williston, ND. Recently he was attending church at the First Lutheran Church with a friend, Natasha Jackson.
Jared thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his three brothers. They spent hours together laughing and conjuring up jokes, riding ATV’s, discussing guns, hunting and hot-rodding a neon reservation demolition car. His very favorite thing to do was removing mufflers and adding something new that was either loud or it created black smoke. He was very creative and always thinking of something he could alter or change. He became very adept at running machinery and repairing it. Jared was very passionate about life; he always had a smile which would light up his face, especially when he had thought of something clever or funny.
He was fearless but not foolish and had developed very strong values as a young man. He was looking forward very much to finding the right woman, marrying her, and starting a family. He loved children dearly and was very affectionate. He would talk of being a sole provider so his wife could raise their children. Jared knew what he wanted and was not often distracted from his vision. He was also a very generous and unmaterialistic teenager. He always shared what he had with almost anyone and was not selfish with his money or toys.
Jared became a believer two years ago and asked his father to baptize him along with his three brothers and one sister in the Missouri River in September of 2007. Jared wasn’t a perfect teenager; he tried to challenge us along the way. However, he had a tender heart and would apologize and say I love you if he had offended you.
Jared had become a man in every sense of the word. He had been working fulltime for the past year and a half. He took responsibility for situations that grown men are sometimes unable to handle.
As a child Jared could see straight to the heart.
Jared is survived by his parents, Michael and Janice Bowman of Wolf Point; siblings, Bethany (Lucas)Hall of Wolf Point, Britany Bowman of Amity, OR (and future brother in-law, Bryce McKee of Amity, OR), Darek, Wade, Levi, Jenica, Karah, Susannah, Seth, and Janessa Bowman, all of Wolf Point; grandparents, Harley and Mildred Davison of Dallas, OR and Karl and Ruth Ellen Bowman of Eldorado, OH; Uncle Gordon and Aunt Cheryl Denlinger and cousins of Eldorado, OH, Aunt Debbie Bowman of Eldorado, OH, Uncle Eddie and Aunt Sharon Bowman and cousins of Eldorado, OH, Uncle Dwight and Aunt Suzanne Davison and cousins of Dallas, OR, Aunt Cheryl Davison of Salem, OR, Uncle Aaron Davison and cousins of Salem, OR, Aunt Michelle Davison of Salem, OR and Uncle Denton and Aunt Heather Davison and cousins of Vancouver, WA and a nephew Aiden Joel Hall and niece Alaina Rose Hall of Wolf Point, MT.
