Jason Bruno Azure, Mahto Washaka (Strong Bear), age 40, of Wolf Point, Montana, made his journey home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2018.
Jason was born on January 22, 1978 in Wolf Point, Montana, to Alex and Brenda (Azure) Calder. Jason grew up in Wolf Point, where he attended school. In August of 1994, he met Paschon Burshia. They later married in May of 2007. Together they were blessed with five children, Katelynn (1996), Adonis (1997), Drake (1999), Devin (2001), and Dejah(2010). He loved being a brother to Billie Jo, Cyrus, and Ashley Calder, and he loved being an uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Throughout the years, he and his wife and kids, along with his dog, Cheese, lived in Wolf Point and Great Falls, Montana, as well as, Devils Lake, North Dakota.
Jason loved working with the public and they loved him. He always excelled in jobs. He worked as a cashier (mostly), construction, and housing. He always ended up at Town Pump, happy to work, even in his last days.
Jason loved watching basketball as much as he loved playing it. He also enjoyed his favorite football team, The Chicago Bears.
Jason was a people person. He was always talkative and helpful in any way he could be. If he had the ability to give or help, he always tried to. Jason had a bright smile that could light up a room. He always gave to people, even in his last breath, he gave his life for another. He will always be remembered as an absolute hero.
Jason is survived by his wife, Paschon; four of his children, Adonis, Drake, Devin, and Dejah; his grandson, Mateo; his mother, Brenda; three siblings, Billie Jo, Cyrus, and Ashley; as well as, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceding Jason in death are his grandma Bonnie; his dad, Alex; and his daughter, Katelynn.
