Jeannie M. Johnson, age 59, of Wolf Point, Montana passed away Friday, January 25, 2008 at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow, Montana.

Jeannie was born September 1, 1948 in Flint, Michigan to Herbert and Naomi (Wallace) Fischer.

Jeannie liked to travel. She had lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, Wilmington, North Carolina, Denver, Colorado and back to Flint, Michigan before moving to Wolf Point. She loved the mountains, her animals and especially her grandchildren.

Jeannie was active in the community, attempting to start an animal rescue organization. She was involved in Compassionate Friends, church, bible study and quilting. She enjoyed collecting wolf memorabilia, DVD’s and coins, and also sponsored a child in India.

Jeannie is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jennifer Wozniak; and two sisters, Thelma Neiss and Linda Fischer.

She is survived by her three children: Jeff (Loretta) Wozniak of Wolf Point, and Amanda Garriss and Rebecca Garriss, both of Tamarac, Florida; her sister, Janet Bentley of Flint, Michigan; brother, Mike (Janet) Fischer of Flushing, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Gabrielle, Savannah and Victoria Wozniak, Tyresa Reed, Tatiana and Elijah Garriss, and John and Henry Ogle; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008 at the Wolf Point Assembly of God Church with cremation to follow at a later time. Pastor Steve Smith will be officiating. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service in the basement of the church.
