Jeremiah Delyn Medicine Elk Jeremiah “Jerm” Medicine Elk 37 went to be with the lord “creator” on May 13, 2021, at Poplar Hospital. Jeremiah was born in Wolf Point on February 25, 1984, to Ernestine Medicine Elk and Michael FastHorse Jr He attended various schools before him, and our dad permanently moved back to Poplar MT where he graduated from Poplar High School. Jeremiah was a New England Patriots fan he had wall hangings our dad had made him. He loved to hang out with his friends and play basketball. He was a kind and silly person who always made people laugh. He attended and graduated from Fort Peck Community College where he got his CDL and Lineman’s degree. He worked at Tribal Express in Poplar for a while before he got his job with Fort Peck Transit as a bus driver. Jeremiah met Melissa Jackson and in their union, they had two children together names Blaine and Isaiah Medicine Elk. Jeremiah then met Misty Iron Leggins and in their union they had a baby boy named Stormi Medicine Elk. Jeremiah and Misty were engaged at the time of his passing.
Jeremiah, Jerm or Jeb wore his heart on his sleeve. Greeted you with a smile. Always willing to lend a helping hand, a shoulder to lean on, or ears to vent to. Jerm did not hold grudges in life and looked at each new day as a new beginning. He was not only a friend but he was “Brother” to many whether related or not. Our brother’s work is done here on this earth, as much as we struggle with answers as to why Jeremiah was taken away from us so soon. It does ease our hearts, and minds that we know he will always be there for us, in this life and the next. Until we meet again Brother, we will cherish every memory you have left us and smile every time we speak your name.

Jeremiah is survived by his children Blaine Medicine Elk, Isaiah Medicine Elk and Stormi Medicine Elk of Poplar, his fiancée Misty Iron Leggins Step Children Gage Iron Leggins, Cherish Savior, Joseph Savior, Precious Savior, and Mystical Winkel of Poplar Father Michael (Sandy) FastHorse Jr of Wolf Point Siblings Barry, Leslie MedicineElk, Manualetta Wilson, LaToya (Tazz) Clark Sandra Ownspipe and Stephanie Cloud Amos Cloud Jr and Joseph Cloud Step Sisters Danielle (Dave) Stracner, Muriel Stracner, Kaitlyn Stracner Aunts Michelene FastHorse, LuCinda (Chuck) SpottedWolf, Katherine Koler, Cheryl BearHill Uncles John FastHorse, Clarence FastHorse Sr, Terry RattlingThunder, Matthew (dude) RattlingThunder, Lenny RattlingThunder, Grandparents Julian (Veronica) Shields Jr, Leonard (snow) RattlingThunder and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
A wake will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the Poplar Cultural Center. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Poplar Cultural Center.
