Joan Hagadone, age 80, passed away peacefully at Rosebud Health Care Center in Forsyth, Montana on March 4, 2018. Joan was born April 24, 1937 to Nicholas and Pearl Norgaard in Park Grove/Fort Peck, Montana. The family moved to Poplar, Montana while Joan was very young and that is where she attended both elementary and high school.
Joan met Jerry Hagadone while living in Poplar and they married on November 22, 1954. Joan worked at Boulds Drug, Fort Peck Mercantile and the Poplar Museum. She loved to fish and camp with her family and her many dear friends. Joan was blessed with the ability to bead beautiful things, which she sold and gifted to many over the years. She loved watching her kids and grandkids participate in all their sporting endeavors and loved listening on the radio when she was unable to attend an event.
Joan and Jerry moved to Forsyth, Montana in 2012 so they could be closer to family and it didn’t take long for them to be adopted and instantly loved in the Forsyth Community. Joan loved to go for a drive and see what was going on around town, so it was common to see them making their loop around town daily.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Pearl Norgaard; brother, Milton Norgaard, and sister, Vera Goodwin.
Joan is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jerry Hagadone; sister, Verna Kennedy of Aurora, Colorado; daughter Vickie (Richard) Anderson; grandson, Reggie (Monica) Anderson; great grandson, Riley; granddaughter, Chrissy (Aaron) Rossow; great grandson, Hand; great granddaughter, Julia; son, Nick Hagadone and fiancé Laura Ryan; granddaughter, Rachelle (Frank) Park; great granddaughter, Maci Moon; granddaughter, Shauna Hagadone; great granddaughter, Paitton; granddaughter, Amber (Ross) Odegaard; great granddaughter, Emma; great grandson, Axel; son, Rusty (Kileen) Hagadone; grandson, Dalton; granddaughter, Samantha; daughter in law, June Hagadone and adopted family, Rita Nygaard and her children Samantha, Michelle and Lloyd.
