John Pamer, Jr., age 77, of Wolf Point, Montana passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point.
He was born November 25, 1930 in Hungary the son of John and Anna Pamer. John’s family was forced from their home during WWII.
John and his brothers, Matthew, Adam and Lawrence immigrated to the United States in the 1950’s. He worked alongside his brothers as a carpenter. They built many homes in Indiana and Florida.
John married Bette Duboise on August 5, 1978 at a Presbyterian Church in Warsaw, Indiana. They moved to Wolf Point in 1990.
John loved carpentry and especially seeing a house go up as he built it. John spoke Hungarian, German and English. He enjoyed visiting with anyone who knew him. He also enjoyed playing the harmonica.
John is survived by his wife, Bette of Wolf Point; his daughter, Lisa (Juan) Olivo of Milford, Indiana; his grandsons, Juan, Joseph and Justin of Indiana; his step-daughters, Sandy (Richard) Englund of Ohio, Eileen (Charles) Merry of Michigan and Patti (Homer) Dodge of New Mexico; his step-grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Merry and Natalie Merry both of Michigan and Jerry Lind Tomheave of New Mexico; and his brothers, Adam Pamer and Matthew Pamer of Milford, Indiana.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Paul and Lawrence.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 24, 2008 starting at 9:00 a.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Graveside services will follow at 10:00 a.m. at King Memorial Cemetery.
