Johnny Dale Doney Sr, age 40, went to be with the Our Creator on Saturday November 5 th 2016 in Las Vegas Nevada. Johnny Dale was born August 24 th , 1976 to the proud parents, John and Cheryl Doney, of Frazer, Montana. As a child Johnny grew up in Frazer and attended Frazer elementary with his many friends and cousins. He enjoyed little league baseball, mastering the video games, and harassing and teasing his older sisters Norina and Doral. As a young man Johnny attended Billings Senior and became known as the “Karate Kid” to his family. Johnny really enjoyed learning the art and spent many nights practicing karate at the dojo and in his room. Later Johnny and his family moved back to Frazer where he attended, and graduated Frazer High School in 1994. Johnny participated in sports such as basketball, track, and cross country. Johnny was an outstanding student in High School and earned the honors of Salutatorian and Honor Society. Johnny joined the Montana ARMY National Guard as a senior in high school and was honorably discharged in 1997. During that time Johnny began his collegiate career at FT Peck Community College in general studies. Later Johnny attended MSU Northern studying geographical information systems. He then went on to MSU Billings to study civil engineering, and graduated in 1999. Johnny was technologically endowed with knowledge of computer systems and O.S., and had many certificates too numerous to mention. Johnny worked for the Frazer schools, Montana Women coalition, many road and gravel crushing jobs with his father over the years, and for the Fort Peck Tribes minerals and I.T. Departments.
Anyone who knew Johnny knew they were in for a laugh, no matter their mood. Johnny had a way of picking up on the small things you did and turning them into the funniest stories, that changed every time he told it. Many nights he had his family and friends laughing at the dining room table with stories of his travels, kids, niece, and crazy nephews. One of his favorite past times was teaching his many grand kids how to be tricksters, bad words included. Johnny had friends wherever he went and the red path took him to many places. He loved his lodge brothers and sisters, making ceremonial pipes and was keeper of our sacred Eagle Feathers. Johnny had a strong belief in his native way of life, and took advantage of every opportunity to teach his family the ways of the red path. Through all of his joking and laughter Johnny was a teacher to his family and we will cherish every moment we had with him.
Johnny, we will think of you from time to time and remember your love of life and your love of those around you. Know in your spirit brother that we will be OK and wish you a safe journey. We will continue to learn the path you started us on and we know that we will see you again.
Johnny Dale Doney Sr, is preceded in death by his father Joseph (John) Doney, paternal grandparents Thomas and Rose Doney, Maternal grandparents Wilson and Josephine Jackson. His adopted parents Robert (Bob) Fourstar, Mike Thompson, and Glenn Anaquod.
Johnny Dale is survived by his Mother Cheryl (Bobbi) Doney of Wiota, MT, sister Norina (Roger) Fisher of Wiota, MT, and sister Doral Lee Doney of Frazer, MT. His children Johnny Dale Doney Jr, Raina Rose Doney, Jacy Andrew Doney, Dane Joseph Doney (Renee), Cale Jensen (Pheobe), and Ameliya Doney (Angie). Adopted children that he loved as his own Tyler, Breanna (Angie), Chloe, Emma (Randie), Sacred, Avery, and Lacey (Jackie, loving companion). His niece/sister Natalie Blount, and nephews Zane Sibley, Stylles Fisher, Dillon Fisher, Dirk Doney, Skylar Fisher, God Son Bodee Doney, and special cousin/God Sis Donna Jo Johnston, cousin/God Brother Yancey Beston, God Parents Joe and Sherri Beston. Johnny so loved his grandchildren Ethan, Kaydin, Asya, Noelani, Maci, Lola, Ecko, Stella, Zadyn and Jorian. He loved his huge family and had so many friends that he felt were family to him. He wouldn’t want anyone left out but they are far too numerous to mention. Johnny is still finding ways to tease and trick us and would have wanted his story to be three pages. We ask your forgiveness for not mentioning you all by name, just know that you were all special to him and now he is up above watching over us all.

.Wake to be held at the Frazer community hall Sunday November 13th 2016, all are welcome. The funeral services to be held Monday 14 th , 2016 at 11am with Internment to follow at the Saint Joseph Cemetery in Frazer, MT.
