Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt, Juanita Lynn Bird Daniels, quietly left us on February 8, 2017 in Poplar, Montana surrounded by family and friends. Babygirl which everyone knew her by was born in Poplar on June 8, 1966 to the late Samuel Daniels and Alves Jones Bird. She was the youngest of 4 girls and 2 brothers. She lived most her life in Brockton, Montana where she also attended school. She met her longtime companion Eugene “Junebug” McKay to this union they raised 4 daughters whom she loved dearly.
Juanita is survived by 3 daughters, Jennifer Youpee, Tiffany McKay and Alyssa McKay; 2 sisters, Roberta Bird and Connie Bird both of Poplar; brother, Pete Kaufman of Bozeman, Montana; and adopted son, Eugene McKay of Billings, Montana. She has 8 grandchildren and many more numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and her niece, Cheryle Jordan whom she enjoyed being around and cruising with. She also enjoyed attending pow-wows, camping, and visiting family. She was always teasing her brothers-in-law, Lawrence Black Dog and the late Albert “Gooch” Kirn. We have a huge family, the Blackdogs, Lewis’, Whitehawks, Jones, and Longtrees; if we did not mention anyone it’s not intentional as we have such a huge family.
Babygirl also has 2 sisters, Emily Bird and Martha BlackDog; daughter, Tracy McKay; brother, Eugene “Yogi” Bird; her companion, Eugene McKay; niece, Kristi Kirn and numerous relatives that precede her in passing.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her; we all have cherished memories with her through out her life.
